Holiday management: 700 wardens deputed for Eid duties

A special squad had been constituted to take prompt action against performing stunts on public roads

FAISALABAD: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Masoom on Friday said traffic plans for Eid holidays had been finalised. Talking to The Express Tribune, he said 700 wardens and 36 inspectors would be on duty from October 5 to October 8. He said a special squad comprising 60 traffic wardens had been constituted to take prompt action against performing stunts on public roads. Masoom said they had been provided 250cc motorbikes. He said most traffic wardens had been deployed around Eidgahs, public parks, shopping centres and graveyards. The CTO urged wardens to perform their duties actively and efficiently. He said negligence would not be tolerated.
