PESHAWAR: The home department has launched the third community policing forum. Based in Gulbahar, it will comprise 14 residents, including four women, according to a statement issued by the Home and Tribal Affairs department on Friday. The community policing forum is part of a series of efforts to connect government departments dealing with security and justice with locals. Prior to this, community policing forums were established in University Town and Faqirabad area. The forum has been developed in collaboration with Aitebaar Program, a four-year programme funded by the UK Government’s Department for International Development, which supports the government of K-P in implementing its peace-building strategy in the province.
