"Oh Muslim peoples, your countries have been entrusted to you, so safeguard your security and stability, your gains, your resources and public projects," Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh said in a televised address from Nimrah Mosque at Mount Arafat in western Saudi Arabia.
Close to two million Muslims from around the world were gathered there for a day of prayer at the peak of the annual Hajj.
"And know that you are targeted by your enemies who want to tear your ranks, turn your hearts against each other and spread chaos and confusion and beware of their conspiracies," he said from the spot where Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) made his final sermon 14 centuries ago.
In August, the mufti urged Muslim youth not to be influenced by "calls for jihad ... on perverted principles."
The mufti has said that radicalism and terrorism "have nothing to do with Islam and (their proponents) are the enemy number one of Islam".

The honourable teachers are changing the syllabus when their students are about to complete experiment in the laboratories of Syria and Iraq but for faraway lands theory and practice are still unchanged.
We need our youth to fight extremists within pAkistan
@Analyzing: Agree. Look within the history and religion of Islam since its founding. No non-Muslim anywhere blames all Muslims as most (somewhere between 80 and 90%) are peaceful and moderate, especially those living as religious minorities in tolerant societies and democracies. But the blame falls squarely on small and visible extremist minority, which commits global jihad in the name of Islam (jihad is an Arabic word and part of Islam), and which has been getting a lot of publicity since the last half of the 20th century and the entire 21st century. Crack down on these barbarians and eliminate them and their ideology forever, and the world will sing praises to Muslims! Here's an objective summary: http://www.jihadwatch.org/islam-101 for the uninitiated and uninformed.
When will our conversation move towards poverty, development, women's right, infant mortality....
Sensible talk by Mufti...Support him...
Biggest enemy of the followers of any religion is the mindset that makes them a slave to beliefs that may have served people in dark ages but are an obstacle to grow in the Age of Enlightenment . As long as Muslims are blaming others and respecting things and people that deserve ridicule , they will stay in the darkness and will continue to earn their reputation for being barbaric or just simply immature .
Its time the Muslims stop blaming "others" for all their ills and take a long hard look at their own and realize that the Muslims are Muslims greatest enemies.
Enemies are within.
I totally agree with the Mufti's point that "The mufti has said that radicalism and terrorism “have nothing to do with Islam and (their proponents) are the enemy number one of Islam”." Should I name the SUPPORTERS of Taliban, Jabht AlNusrah and ISIS, which include Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikhdoms of Qatar and UAE, alongwith other GCC countries. In Pakistan it is Samiul Haq, Diesel and others to name a few.
What did the Grand Mufti suggested we do about the perpetrators.
