Former president Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Javed Hashmi said on Thursday that there was a big conspiracy behind the protests and they were aimed at derailing democracy with bloodshed.
Speaking at a press conference at his home in Multan, Hashmi alleged that there was an alternative plan of assassination of some renowned political leader to end the current government.
He asserted that there was no defined destiny or milestones of the protests. He claimed credit for averting a crisis situation. He appreciated Imran Khan as a true leader, who had created Shaukat Khanum Hospital and won us a World Cup, but there are people behind him not visible in the public eye, who want to destroy PTI and someone else is dictating these protests.

@lala. I totally agree with you. Good thought provoking comments. You will appreciate politiking is a competitive business. Like all other businesses and activities, everyone keeps his plans to the chest and just not spill them out. Especially in Politics. If you have noticed, in the last two months, the D Chowk Dharna is working as an effective opposition, but on the roads. Whatever PTI has been saying, the government has been adapting it in re-active style, instead of any pro-active style. So if PTI shares their plans on how to do it, I am afraid all other political parties will adopt it in their manifesto. So it is too early. It can only be made public when there is neutral government and there is no risk of sharing. I have lot of hopes in PTI and his team.
Javed hashmi left the feudals to get a new feudal . When he left nawaz league , he thought he is going in new democracy .after that he thought he is again going to other feudal . Finally realised pakistans fate is feudalism .
Shah mahmood is himself feudal wadera. I dont support hashmi neither nawaz nor imran .
Imran should bring people from educated backgrounds .
1) engineers of high level 2) doctors of high level 3) economists 4) chartered accountant . 5) corruption auditors 6) other highly qualified peoples .
They will bring change in system .
A doctor as minister of health can netterly deal with health department.
A chartered accountant as head of corruption control department can betterly create controls to reduce corruption.
A good engineer as ministers of road can better estimate the cost of new infrastructure.
A chemical engineer can better run ministry of petroleum.
Our youth can bring change by imran . But imran should tell in his manifesto . What change in system he will bring.
He brought efir system in kpk. What after efir has been lodged. . Efir is just a milestone of justice. Efir is not justice . He should share to public how he will change the country justice system.
If imran is himself finding wrong doors to get chair than I dont hope any change from himside.
Zardari cant bring change also Nawaz cant .
Any body cant change our country . Untill we change ourself . This country people does not realise the rights and duties of himself . What imran will do .
How imran will stop police officer doing corruption.
The way governance is done same way it will be done.
No change will come !!!! No any change will come .
Imran should not take law in his hand by removing any pm. Let the country run ,Otherwise Dollar will go up again.
@Mohammad Afzal: You do know Shah Mehmood Qureshi is a feudal landlord? He is one of the worst examples of a pir. Javed hashmi's political experience is far greater than SMQ and no one ever questioned his credibility. Not even Pmln supporters when he left them. You pti supporters need to learn some respect. Whoever is against you is corrupt and dishonest. I hope to see you all cry when Imran khans revolution brings nothing but pain after he comes to power. And if you want to have a debate with me then you are most welcome. I can argue against pti for several reasons and not a single pti supporter has any answer for me.
I had lot of respect for Javed Hashmi, unfortunately his recent behavior and actions have forced me to think otherwise about this person. Looks like this person left PTI, only due to the fact that Shah Mahmood Quereshi was making more Waves then he did in PTI. Shah Mehmood was more vocal in Parliament, in Streets, in Jalsas and where as Javed was a silent spectator. SMQ is far more educated and well travelled then old guard like Hashmi. Hashmi realized he was losing traction, importance and his grounds within PTI, He also had the stubborn thinking of supporting WADERA Democracy and travelling twice to Multan during the protests, on petty issues. Overall the supporters of PTI also did not see any visible contribution of Javed Hashmi to PTI. He was fatherly figure and should have behaved such, in this day and age, specially keeping in my mind the PTI was riding high on the waves of young cyber middle class. He came from old school of thoughts which did not rhyme well with the PTI age, culture and supporters . Bye Bye Javed, please stop sharing your nightmares in press conferences with the people of Pakistan who have stood up for their rights now.
Mr. Hashmi is a victim of Bad Dreams nowadays.
