LAHORE: Justice Ayesha A Malik of Lahore High Court on Thursday reserved verdict on an application requesting suspension of MNA Asfandyar M Bhandara’s assembly membership as a petition against him was pending with an election tribunal. The application was filed on behalf of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Inqilab. Advocate AK Dogar, representing the petitioner, said the decision on a petition against him was pending in an election tribunal. He requested the court to stay his membership in the assembly till a decision was made. He said there were several NAB references filed against Bhandara but he had not mentioned that in his nomination papers. He said that Bhandara did not fit the eligibility criteria under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
