While addressing a press conference in Multan, the Hashmi claimed that a ‘third force’ was steering the ‘Azadi’ March when it departed Lahore for Islamabad, adding that its objective was the destruction of the entire political system prevailing in the country.
“The plan was to get 10 people killed so that the government could be forced to step down.”
He said the slogan ‘Go Nawaz Go’ was wrong. “Imran Khan praises Nawaz Sharif every night with his ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan.”Hashmi warned that both Imran and Qadri could trigger a civil war in the country, and that the government had shown restraint by not resorting to violence. He requested both the protesting parties to end their sit-ins for the sake of Pakistan.
The seasoned politician said he had made a mistake in gauging Imran, and that the PTI leader would never talk about the resignation now. “The ones whom he made his electoral candidates were only there to make money.”
Conflict between Hashmi and the PTI leadership arose when the former declined to support the party in its march towards the PM House on August 31. He was subsequently suspended from the party.
Hashmi later resigned from office citing Imran’s undemocratic attitude.

@Noman: The third force was stopped by those who matter and it is still waiting on the side for an opportunity.
@bol: Nonsense! Few in Pakistan have given genuine sacrifice for democracy but Hashmi.
No Hash it was to reform the system which you wanted to destroy.
Hashmi Saab is issuing statements without thinking its consequences. The current statement is also technically wrong because just two weeks before Hashmi Saab was part of PTI & at that every thing was O.K. now when he is out of PTI now in his opinion Dharna is going to be a source to derail the system. LOL
Dear Mr. Hashmi, Once a while one makes a mistake and regrets it for ever but you seem to be building a case against youreslf every time you make a statement. You are a veteran politician and has served his country well. Imran and his party had fatal attraction for you. Was it PTI 's ideology or your disappointment with Nawaz that led you to jump PML(N). Even after joinining the former you were still calling Nawaz as "your " leader. Was it that you were disappointed that you were not properly looked after by Nawaz when you had a intracranial bleed . Politics became personal? Imran never promised that his journey was going to be bed of roses but still offered you a senior position and valued your advice but also consulted others. Unfortunately when push came to shove you jumped the ship. Instead of withdrawing gracefully you have now indulged in emotional catharsis and hark for the past and esp.for PML(N). Your credibility is now under the kosher. What is wrong with slogan Go Nawaz or anyother slogan as long as it is civilised? Should one be beaten up for this? One cannot deny that Imran is immensely popular all over and pulls crowd which other politicians like yourself can only dream of. He has given the people a voice. There is no third force but a tryst with destiny. Your disclosures only enhance his popularity. His ship is not sinking but you jumped out with the life belt too quickly and now are floating about aimlessly. You may act independent but are dependent on others goodwill!
“The plan was to get 10 people killed so that the government could be forced to step down.” Hashmi shab, if the plan was that, then why u left the party so late.. disgusting.
Please send him for metal hospital for check-up as it is seemed that he is not fit to contest NA election.
@Think twice As the wise say "think twice before you open your mouth" I really feel sorry for you and your thoughts.
Then why was he part of the set-in for more than two weeks. He was a planted man as it is clear from his past and present actions. Connect the dots...
People criticizing Hashmi should think twice before they indulge. Hashmi is a brave son of the soil. He proved it by going to jail and did not apologize to the despot Musharraf. No other politician, including NS, IK, Qadri, has stood so bravely for principles. He misjudged IK and later realized his conspiratorial intentions of subverting an elected govt and with it subverting democracy and the State of Pakistan. Therefore, as a principled politician he had no choice but to say good bye to PTI. NS failed to give him the importance he deserved in PML-N and that amounts to a national loss. Presently, Hashmi is too frail and weak to really serve at any post of political importance effectively and that is a very sad loss for the nation. The people of Pakistan really are poor judges of who their honest leader(s) is. May Allah grant courage and good health to the brave and invincible Hashmi to serve Pakistan in the future, ameen!
Hashmi must face Sheikh Rasheed who can really show him the mirror and then only all of us know who he is otherwise he will continue blaming and accusing everyone and proving that he is none but too docile and innocent. Iqbal Hadi Zaidi
Hashmi saab: once you were setting course from Lahore, I think you were beside IK. Were you unaware about the third party at that time. Now suddenly Nawaz seems Mother Teresa to you and IK has become a monster. Shame on you. It because of people like you that we need a change and it will come very soon in sha Allah.
@Noman: Don't be so naive. Because the "world powers" weren't so eager to overthrow the "elected" government and the third force can't survive without their "dough"
Hashmi Sahab actions are determental to common Pakistani's progress, he is siding corrupt fudals and VIP culture.
"Azadi’ March was supposed to destroy prevailing system: Hashmi"
Hashmi sahab... don't expect people to weep tears of blood if the Azadi march does just that.
News flash for you... no one like this prevailing system of injustice.
Hashmi's claim makes no sense, since the 3rd party didn't step even after the violence.
And you did not talk to Saad Rafiq secretly during the Dharnas. We respected you Hashmi Sahab and you had hurt our feelings, now we do not want to ridicule you.
So please stop these allegations and focus on your By-election campaign with PMLN. You leader was and will always be Nawaz.
