Technical fault: PAF fighter aircraft crashes in Quetta

The aircraft crashed in an open area and there was no loss of life reported

QUETTA: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter aircraft crashed near Kuchlak, a suburb of Quetta, on Wednesday morning due to technical fault. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The aircraft crashed in an open area and there was no loss of life reported. “The fighter aircraft on operational training mission crashed after it developed a technical fault. The pilot ejected successfully and was safely airlifted,” Air Commander Tariq Mehmood, spokesperson to PAF told The Express Tribune. The Air Headquarters has ordered a Board of Inquiry into the incident to determine the causes of the crash, Mehmood said. “The aircraft crashed in a vacant area and there was no loss of life and property in the area,” he added.
