DI KHAN: The Peshawar High Court DI Khan Division Bench has issued a stay order on the sacking of four policemen accused of negligence during last year’s jail break and barred the provincial government from taking any action against them. The order was issued by the PHC’s division bench comprising Justice Qisar Rashid and Justice Akramullah. Four police, ex-DSP Abdul Ghafur, Line Officer Aslam Khan, SHO Muhammad Nawaz, and SHO Umar Daraz had filed a writ petition in the court. These officials are among 160 policemen sacked by the government on Tuesday on the basis of an enquiry committee’s recommendations. On July 29, 2013, members of TTP stormed the DI Khan jail and escaped with nearly 250 prisoners, including high-profile militants.
