Anti-polio drive: Secretary health visits houses in Golra
He says the provision of polio vaccine is responsibility of the federal government
ISLAMABAD:
The provision of polio vaccine is the responsibility of the federal government whereas the successful implementation of the vaccination campaigns is the responsibility of the provincial governments. This was stated by Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Secretary Ayub Shakih during a surprise visit to katchi abadis in Sector E-11/4. Sharif reviewed arrangements of the anti-polio drive on the concluding day of the three-day national polio campaign. He went door-to-door and spoke to parents about the administration of polio drops to their children and also visited transit points in Golra Sharif. Shaikh urged parents to ensure administration of polio drops and appealed to ulema, media, civil society and NGO’s to play their role for eradicating the virus.
