“I have sent my resignation to the PTI leadership,” said Hashmi, who was recently suspended from the PTI and is facing an enquiry by the party’s disciplinary committee for repeated statements against the PTI leadership.
“I do not want to be a part of a party that is conspiring to derail democracy in the country,” he asserted.
The disgruntled leader who had a recent fallout with PTI chairman Imran Khan over his decision to march towards the Prime Minister House in the Red Zone area of Islamabad, repeatedly alleged that the chief was being “used” by his party members.
Hashmi had also earlier hinted that a “third” force was behind the PTI’s ongoing sit-in to overthrow the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.
Earlier, the politician submitted his nomination papers for by-polls in NA-149 as an independent candidate cutting all links from the PTI.

I don't think he will be missed because he made lots of false allegations before leaving. He sold himself in sneaky meeting and calls to pm house days before fallout, and now continue to include everyone in London plan that government see as threat to the kingdom. he got big hug from his highness in parliament. PMLN refused to send in candidate against him as award for his sneaky work.
@H Chaudhry: He was in the party that got birth and groomed by military and brought into power multiple times....he is the worst kind of self interest politics...he is gone to where he belonged
@Thank You: Very Well said.
You disappointed us.
@Iqbal Hadi Zaidi: Horrible language you have used for a real hero. Shame on you.
I think this is the problem with PTI supporters. If you're not with them then they think they have the right the abuse you call you names and whatnot. It's kind of bullying behaviour and not conducive to all inclusive civilised democratic society. My friend who is with PTI got roughed up because he suggested to end the sit once majority of conditions are met. He is still in hospital god bless him.
@Thank You: My problem is why Hashmi chose such undignified ways to leave the party? I have now zero respect for this guy.
@Ramallah Khan: 'African junglee countries' Why are Pakistanis so racist?
I do not understand what values this man has, other than " jaithi daikhi tawa parat, othay guzari saari raat"
watch Raul klasra take on hashmi, made so much money illegally by using jail as a crutch. but this how game is played.
GO HASHMI GO. Why and how are you speaking aloud when you wore the dress of someone (former minister name withheld) resident of Rawalpindi when you were called by President Gen Ziaul Haq to join cabinet. I have also heard that now you are talking against the same former minister who clad you from his pocket to take oath before the president. Do you know he is planning to come to your city in Multan to de-clothe you? Iqbal Hadi Zaidi
@All Hating Hashmi - Shame on you people! This is the man that is head and shoulders above all of you in his ethics and his love for Pakistan. He is man of principle and if you cant see this, it is your problem. I salute him.
@Ricky: Who is PML(n) good for, people like Javed Hashmi. By the way IK did go behind bars during Musharaf's regime.
Great decision hashmi sir. Handful of PTI supporters active on internet does not represent pakistan
Talking to the press, Hashmi said that the dharna was also intended to prevent the Chinese President's visit to Pakistan. Hashmi should also tell us if he knows why Pervez Khattak did not go to China as per schedule?
It ix because of the so called educated people the condition of Pakistan has now became so pathetic and not due to poor and illeterate mass at the grass root level . In fact , Pakistan came in to existence due to these so called educated people .Sir Saiyad Ahmad Khan failed to teach them and they preferred to follow west or middle east school of thought. Some of them enterred in the maderssas to become highly qualified like Dr Zakir Nayak . The result is before us . The Islam Republic of Pakistan ........ Not Islamic from any angle ......
I will not say any thing offensive about Hashmi Sahab. Not I would surely say that during this 45 day protest IK had the chance to judge most of his members. It is commitment in hard times that make the difference.
Kudos to Hashmi who has once again sacrificed his own interest for the country. He did not need to take a firm stand openly and honestly but one has to die one day and be accountable for all their doings. Hashmi is one of those nationalist, patriotic leader who are born, lived and would be buried in Pakistan. He does not have a mansion in the west where he can live with his family happily ever after. Hashmi thought the dictatorship of Mush was wrong and he stood up against him while others were supporting Mush. The fact remains he does not belong to PTI because none of their leaders took any such stand and never saw jail let alone for 7 long years. PTI is a great place for Chaudhries, Tully, SMQ and Pirs, feudal and professional lifetime politicians and a lifetime leader.
Javed Hashmi Saab is right in his convictions. What is PTI achieving by crippling the duly elected Govt for so many days. PTI is showing its immaturity by not sitting in opposition for the next 5 yrs. and proving its self and wining confidence of the people. Look at India and its BJP party which has come to power in such a large number aftersitting in opposition foir 10 years. Imran has collected all fools around him like Sayed Qureshi who has changed parties after every 5 years. Imran is fooling the uneducated people in the country to cripple Pakistan. He wants sympathy and popularity because Nawaz is slowly making Pakistan strong. What is the use of Imran's UK education? At this rate Pakistan can never ever come even close to India in mature democracy and will always be called a 'donkeys democracy'. Does anyone in Pak know how much bad Pakistan's position is financially? It is one of the poorest country which can be compared with African junglee countries, inspite of having some good educated people. Look where the educated people have taken India...
Dear Hashmi,
Third forces are powerful enough to send govt in a day or two.
All anti-Hashmi comments show the dominance of PTI trolls on ET. This is not a representative sample of the people of Pakistan at large. Speaking truthfully, Hashmi is head and shoulders above each and every leader/member of PTI. He is fearless. When IK was hiding during anti-Musharraf campaign, Hashmi had shown long before how principled he was by accepting to go to prison but not to stop resisting the despot Musharraf who had usurped power. If anyone foots the bill to be honest and principled among all politicians, it is Hashmi alone.
Good riddance! One is never too old to learn, I suggest in your retired life, please try to take "introduction to democracy" course, may be one day you will understand its true meaning and the philosophy behind it. May God enlighten your mind!
We trusted and respected you Hashmi sahab. Its feel sad and heart broken to be betrayed by our own or you were never one of us. #Go Nawaz Go
We trusted you hashmi sahab. Your new alliance with pmln shows your integrity towards nation. Go DAGHI Go
A request to PTI supporters to not abuse him. The man wants to go; he is free to go. Show the values that PTI has. Thank you for being here Hashmi Sb. but not sad to see you go.
Thank you & Good riddance.
good for him
