Shahzad demolishes Sialkot

A superb all-round performance by Ahmed Shahzad ensured HBL demolish Sialkot by 10 wickets on the final day at the Jinnah Stadium.

Shahzad, who took four for 20 as Sialkot were bundled out for 163 in the second innings, hit an unbeaten 109 as HBL overhauled the target in the 25th over of the match.

Blues-NBP draw

In an exciting finish, Karachi Blues fell short by 53 runs as they finished with 246 for five in 60 overs against NBP at the National Stadium. Needing 299 to win on the final day after NBP declared at 241 for nine, Akbar Rehman tried his best, hitting a quick 107 off 119 deliveries but the match ended in a draw.

SNGPL win

Asad Ali took six for 53 and Imran Ali grabbed three wickets as SNGPL defeated Rawalpindi by 35 runs. Chasing 146 to win, Asad destroyed the hosts’ batting line-up as they were dismissed for a 110.

ZTBL prevail

Islamabad’s resistance came to an end on the final day at the Diamond Ground as they were dismissed for 320 to lose by an innings and 22 runs against ZTBL. Mohammad Khalil took five for 55 in the second innings and finished with nine wickets in the match.

PIA draw with Faisalabad

Shoaib Malik’s double hundred went in vain as PIA drew against hosts Faisalabad at the Iqbal Stadium. Faisalabad, needing an improbable 275 to win, reached 51 for two.
