Eid security plan: Police leave cancelled

ISLAMABAD: The administration has cancelled leave and holidays of the Islamabad Police and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration officials to ensure law and order on Eid. Islamabad Chief Commissioner Zulfiqar Haider, in a statement on Tuesday, cancelled all police leaves and directed special deployment at important places and markets for security. Police commandos will man different places apart from patrolling by ASPs, DSPs and inspectors. Reserve police force has also been put on standby to meet any emergency while Rangers and lady police constables will also perform security duties.
