Heinous crime: Minor raped in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Police said on Tuesday that a 13-year old boy had raped another child in Derawar area. They said the victim, a resident of Chak 105-DNB, was going home from school when the culprit overpowered her. He took her to a deserted place and raped her. He fled when she started crying for help. Police said she was taken to the district headquarters hospital from where she wassent to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Scores of Derawar residents staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the incident.  Derawar police said a case had been registered against him.
