“To those whose heart beats with the PPP but feel let down for any reason; first of all, allow me to apologise personally for letting you down.”
Bilawal, in a statement released on Sunday, said that they were not perfect and acknowledged that “mistakes have been made in the past.” However, he added that his party was committed to reforming and re-earning the trust of its supporters.
“The PPP is a democratic party and all internal dissent is welcome,” the statement says in a veiled reference to the way Javed Hashmi was booted out by the PTI leadership. “The best way to influence the PPP party policy is to join us, and bring change to both the party and the country from within.”
In light of disgruntled workers turning towards other political “options,” Bilawal urged them to choose carefully, noting that anyone who claimed to support Zulfikar Ali Bhutto or Benazir Bhutto cannot support either dictatorship or extremism. “If party policy is unacceptable to you, and you are considering joining another party, I would suggest joining pro-democracy and pro-people political parties in Pakistan.”
“Do not punish Pakistan or its democracy for my shortcomings. Please do not support anti-democratic parties or political parties who appease extremism.”
In veiled reference to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the PTI he added that Pakistan has enough right wing, dictatorship-loving and TTP-appeasing political parties.
“If you are frustrated with the party, I would like to suggest more productive ways to do legitimate opposition.”
Reaching out to other left wing parties including the Awami National Party, Bilawal said the PPP welcomes and encourages other left wing political parties to join the political process.
“In fact, if any former sympathisers are looking to attend a political event today I would suggest attending the #AWPCongress in Islamabad.”
Bilawal has already announced a rally on October 18 in Karachi. The PPP has also called a central executive committee meeting in Karachi on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Suspend partisan politics till operation ends
In a separate statement, Bilawal urged political parties "suspend aggressive partisan politics until the operation is over and the IDPs return home."
He pointed out that every opposition party wants free and fair elections and to hold the Sharif government to account.
"The Pakistan People’s Party will continue to play the role of real opposition."

Pakistan owe this change to PTI.
@Rumormonger: Why shaheed , Benazeer was a corrupt person , stop making them our heros. She left a will to make her teenage son heir of throne , who was responsible for bringing Zardari , who is the most hated person in pakistan at the movement .
So will you apologize for:
1. Your grandfathers (Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto) role is breaking Pakistan up in 1971 1. Your mothers (Benazir Bhutto's) legacy of corruption 2. You fathers legacy of starting the worst VVIP culture in Pakistan's history where even ambulances are stopped due to movement of VVIP protocols. 3. Countless corruption by your party
If this guy even had one inch of morals he would apologize, resign from PP forever, and leave Pakistan!.
BBZ should stop smoking whatever it is that he is smoking!
I hope this is an apology......and not political gamesmanship.
Bilawal Bhutto inherited the chairmanship of the PPP through a will. Is that democracy?
You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.
Hey bro, first correct your name, its Bilawal 'Zardari' not bhutto. Now stay silent.
What is more right-wing than dynastic leadership?
Here comes the well trained Son of Mr. 10+ pecent who is now being presented as the new saviour of the country. Since people will not trust his father anymore, it is just another tactic to get votes in the name of Bhutto and Benazir and rule the country for another 5+ years. Nothing will get better under the same system and same corrupt people with different faces. They have no intention to improve the system and the condition of it's people!
Finally Bilawal is coming of age and being his own man. These words mean nothing if he does not invite all disgruntled old PPP faithfuls including Nahid Khan and other BB's close associates. In addition Bilawal should announce that he would not cling to the party leadership all his life like all other so-called new leaders. Any reasonable person knows and understands that BB and you were students and never in politics. The deaths of your parents forced you into politics and to keep the large party intact a Bhutto was the cohesive force. One wants to see you go to all those your party repulsed after BB's death and also announce that you would not be a lifelong head of PPP like almost all other leaders. We have always loved royal and shaikh families in our history and still cherish those who ruled for hundreds of years. But this process must stop and there should not be lifelong party leaders.
Nobody takes this kid seriously. Time over for corrupt dynastic politics.
This is a new trend in Pakistan. As long as one is in power, they live in Pakistan. As soon as the power is gone, they are out of the country. So they love to rule the country but don't want to live in it. Why are Pakistani people so dumb to not see these trends and ask these human trashes why they are not living in Pakistan. Bilawal came to Pakistan to do some photo ops with flood affected victims, then immediately he took a flight back to Dubai. I guarantee the whole family will be back when its election time. Pakistani People, please wake up.
I am longing to see new faces in Pakistan politics. It appears the only way the old guys will go is the way Benazir went. Hoping one day...........all the current old politicians disappear from the face of this planet, Amen.
Democratic Party &PPP ' olamba . This is the end of PPP, when a chairman he ask former workers to join other What you father did to this country for five years has left scars on minds of Pakistanis for centuries .
give all looted money back and go home .
Please stop using democracy
Its sad but bye bye PPP & Bhuttos & Zardaries & Shareefs.
We want clean water in Larkana. Also some industry, schools with table and chairs and a university. 40 years of PPP rule and nothing. Nawaz Sharif build metro bus here please. Google Larkana please on images and see the constituency they have won from for the last 40 years. There is nothing except the Bhutto Palace.
Most people I found obsessed with the concept of "left-right wing" whether they are from PPP or DAWN news columnists, are either foolish or rather notoriously self-praising with some misplaced self righteousness. Although "left-right wing" concept varied universally in different eras, whether economically, religiously, or socially, none of these concepts applies to PPP, ANP, MQM, or PML-N whatsoever
Mr Bilawal BZ , your apology can be considered if you sell your share of properties owned by your father and bank deposits bring back in Pakistan and invest in Dams, Iran Gas Pipe line and Thar Coal project etc. Just give it a practical thought.
I appreciate Chairman of PPP's statement. I will believe it when I see it. Let's start by bringing back all the money that you have looted from Pakistan and hid all over the world. Let's disclose all the assets that you have around the world if you would like to participate in Pakistani political arena and want to hold office.
Talk is cheap Mr. Chairman.
"The PPP is a democratic party" - says the co-chairman who was gifted the party by the will of her mother, who herself was handed the party by her father. Do whatever you want with your party but please don't ridicule the institution of democracy.
How about paying back the $BN that your family has looted. Then getting back every penny stolen by the rest of your crooked party and giving it back. Thought Not. PS Do you remember the Rockingham mansion you mum and dad denied owning but in the end it turned out that they did own it.
He talks about democracy but if he wasnt bhutto son would he be chairman of his oarty? He is he rahual gandhi of india not relevent no more
Too late, Mohajirs are on the verge of dismantling Sindh, and forming the Mohajir Republic !!!
