President of the Sindh chapter of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Haleem Adil Shaikh, his brother Aleem Adil Shaikh, along with their supporters, have decided to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The decision was made following their meeting with PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is currently meeting leaders in Sindh and inviting them to join the party. Talking to the media, the Shaikh brothers said that they would formally announce their affiliation with PTI in 10 days.
“Imran Khan and his party tend to break the status quo and we want to join as solider of the party,” Aleem Shaikh, central president PML-Q (Youth Wing), said.
Speaking at the occasion, Qureshi disclosed that leaders of different political parties, including Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, wanted to join the PTI given the party’s growing popularity in the country. Important meetings are expected with those who have always played a key role in Sindh’s politics, he added.
“The people of Sindh are depressed because of loot and plunder by the PPP government. We realised that our party has also not paid much attention toward their issues. But now, we want to do it and because there is dire need to focus on Sindh,” he said.
Qureshi, who was scheduled to leave for Hyderabad, said that the PPP has lost it past glory. “In cities, the PPP has already lost support and people in Punjab and Balochistan have also rejected it.”
Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi while speaking to media at airport said that no one can stop making new Pakistan and revolution was on the cards. “I cannot give you the deadline when the change will take place. But I assure you that it is imminent.”

@Faraz: Very poor English and senseless comment.
@Mirza: It seems you want these daily wagers to live the same poor life for next 3 more generations as-well, isn't it? What a lame justification when you say let these poor people live same harsh life silently and instead of taking a stand... Moreover, it's not about Sindh or Balochistan... It's about us all.....
Please leave Sindh alone. We have relative peace here and do not want to create chaos and increase the sufferings of poor citizens. Those who work on daily wages cannot afford to live without going to work for months. Sindh economy propels the economy of Pakistan and we do not want it to come to a halt. The urban elites of Punjab can afford this luxury for months. However those who never worked in their life for a living and lived of other people's riches would not understand what I am trying to say. To SMQ, just leave us alone, Sindh has defeated you and rejected you. You are a feudal, Pir and professional politician chasing power.
@Ranjha: You wrote "But something divided by zero is infinity!" Zero divided by zero is not infinity. Being a student of science I could not resist! Regards, M
Zero has been given by India to the world .
PTI always ignored Sindh, please focus on Sindh specially in rural Sindh. IK hardly visits rural Sindh. He needs to spend atleast 50% time in Sindh to develop party base. Sindhis are looking for change, we are also sick of PPP and MQM and their bad governance, nepotism, and specially hate based politics of MQM. I request PTI to develop a comprehensive Sindh based policy, plz enter into Sindh with a very clear policy and pro-Sindh vision, otherwise people of Sindh will reject you.
Imran can only win Karachi with new faces only. It is likely the entire land mafia of Karachi with the connivance of the Builder mafia will try to grab a position in his party that he needs to check. Otherwise Karachiites are better off with their local plunderers.
For all the the people who are showing their sympathies for PTI at evils being accommodated in the party, I would like to bring their attention to the fact that Khalif Omer was the strongest resistance towards the message of Islam, but we all know the facts afterwards... They all are Pakistanis, we can't just kill them all...... The party determines accountability through a systematic mechanism which has served recently...... Nations are built not by just people, but by systems and institutions and principles uniformly applicable on all...... Yeah, we all need to come out of a muhallah psychology which has been used by our traditional and seasonal politicians to suppress the opinion of poor citizens......
@Ranjha: "@Blithe: 0 + 0 = 0 But something divided by zero is infinity! Another blithefully ignorant comment......"
"+" sign is not a "divided by" sign. Standard of education is definitely poor in Pakland.
I think PML (N) leaders of Sindh are joining PTI but wrongly it is mentioned in the news that PML (Q) leaders are joining PTI. Mabrook Imran Khan. Iqbal Hadi Zaidi
If PTI wants to gain ground in Sindh and create a dent in the stronghold of PPP, it would have to avoid confrontation and direct criticism of Bhuttos. Secondly, PTI should promote local Sindhi leadership by designating all its office-bearers. Thirdly and most importantly, Mr. Imran Khan himself should held negotiations and convince all nationalists leader of Sindh to join PTI by assuring them PTI will not support the division of Sindh at all costs, and will not act on the signals of establishment. He should make the following two nationalist leaders to join PTI, namely Mr. Ayaz Latif Palejo, Dr. Qadir Magsi, and Mr. Mumtaz Ali Bhutto. These three people enjoy much influence and respect in Sindh and their joining of PTI will usher in establishing a new Pakistan by accommodating Sindhis, who feel deprived and increasingly widen the gap, especially after a call from MQM for dividing Sindh.
@Blithe:
0 + 0 = 0
But something divided by zero is infinity! Another blithefully ignorant comment.
Full speed ahead Imran!
go nawaz go. For those who wrote comments against IK tell me are you happy with the current system of pakistan? I used to live in Pakistan but would never want to go back there, the whole system is corrupt. You people dont realise it because you havent lived in a western country. Here you get punished for even hitting an animal. In Pakistan people get killed yet no FIR gets registered. Western people are the ones following Islamic laws not Pakistan. Imran Khan isnt enjoying living inside a container, hes doing it all to end corruption and make Pakistan a safer and a better country. So next time think before you write.
By the way, never heard of the guy . Perhaps he got impressed by the number of electricity meters in SMQ and IK residences.
New Pakistan... same old Lotas..
I think the politicians sticking to one party and looting at their terms are better (less worse) than those moving parties and trying to loot all the time.... Khan Sahab has repeatedly said there is no place for people like these in his party but joining hands with them. where is that committment because of which they called the party "tehrik-E-Insaaf"
Khan Sahab, it is a common practise for politicians to attend public gatherings before elections and forget the people afterwards but you never even visited sindh at the time of election. How can people expect you to solve their problems.
shameless land grabbers of q league to join pti ... wow
Hallem Adil Shaikh the famous land grabber is joining PTI. This is new Pakistan. Plz IK forgive the Pakistanis, you are completely making fool the entire country. We don't the mureed Shah Mahmood Qureishi and Businessman Jehangeer Tareen as an opening batsman of naya Pakistan.
0 + 0 = 0
