
The Federal Investigation Agency has busted an illegal call centre set up in the Model Town Extension. The owners of the call centre were obtaining credit card information of various people and paying their bills over the internet.
A team of FIA officials accompanied by Muhammad Iftikhar, a representative of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, raided a house in Al-Faisal Town, Zarar Shaheed Road, Cantt.
The team recovered seven operational illegal VoIP exchanges, five gateways with 16 ports each and two gateways with eight ports each, two PTCL modems, a laptop, several SIMs of various cellular companies, two routers and two Cisco switches with 24 ports each.
The man operating the gateway, Irfanul Haq, has also been arrested.
