A man climbed and started crying on a tree located adjacent to the Sindh Assembly building where MPAs were discussing the day’s agenda. He claimed he was protesting against the government for not giving jobs on merit.
The man, who is a resident of Shaheed Benazirabad, added that he had his degrees and necessary documents in a bag with him.
“I have applied to various government jobs but it was all in vain,” he said. “I have tried to meet the elected representatives of my area but no one was willing to give me any time.”
He added that since the police were not letting him enter the assembly building, he had made up his mind to climb the tree and protest.
The police arrived and asked him to climb down or face dire consequences.
The man jumped off the tree and was injured. He was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi, for treatment.
