Prioritising education

Letter September 25, 2014
I believe it is extremely important to improve the education sector of Pakistan otherwise we cannot develop further.

TURBAT: Aristotle believed that “the roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet”. I believe that education is the light which helps the blind towards their destination.

Education is the only thing which provides nations with their own identity in this modern and complex world. If we glance over the developed nations that are ruling the developing nations, we can note that they have strong education systems. On the other hand, countries like Pakistan, that do not proritise education, are facing many problems such as corruption and the lack of distribution of resources.

Moreover, teachers play a vital role in the process of transferring education to the young generation but sadly they are not safe in Pakistan. On one hand, students are being targeted and on the other hand, schools and colleges are being burnt and teachers are being killed.

I believe it is extremely important to improve the education sector of Pakistan otherwise we cannot develop further as an economy and we will remain at the bottom of the social strata.
