Govt issues white paper on PTI performance in K-P
Addressing the media in Islamabad, PML-N MNA Marvi Memon presented the paper titled 'A Great Betrayal in the Name of Change’, which compares the performance of the PML-N government in Punjab and PTI government in K-P.
“PTI has failed to deliver in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and in order to divert the attention from their performance they started to disturb the system through sit-ins,” said Memon, adding that PTI has not fulfilled the promises it made during election campaigns.
“K-P government has spent only Rs25 billion of total outlay of Rs83 billion during the current fiscal year,” she added.
Memon was flanked by Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid and privitisation minister Muhammad Zubair.
Earlier, on September 24, Rashid urged PTI chief Imran Khan to bring his grievances about the 2013 election to Parliament, while presenting a fact-sheet titled ‘The Truth behind PTI’s allegations’.
Further, censuring K-P Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak for ignoring his province for the post 40 days and attending the sit-in instead, Rashid said the PTI government should have made K-P a model province.
Terming Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, a man with a “violent mind”, Rashid said the joint investigation team has declared that violence was initiated by PAT workers during the clashes in Model Town between police and PAT supporters.
Meanwhile, Zubair said PTI resorted to politics of sit-ins to obstruct progress in other parts of the country as they were failing to run K-P.
“PTI leadership did not feel it reasonable to face people for having failed in serving people after five years,” he said.
“Under the 18th Amendment, PTI had the power to reform the education and health sectors and improve law and order, but the PTI government completed failed in it.”
The privitisation minister also alleged that 82 per cent of PTI’s lawmakers do not pay taxes while PTI chairman Imran Khan speaks against tax evaders in his speeches.
Citing a recent survey of Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency, Zubair said the satisfactory level in Punjab is plus 33 per cent, while in K-P it is minus four per cent.

Time for the PTI to end their useless and wasteful "Dharna" and get to work.
How can they compare performance with Punjab where Shariffs are ruling for the past many years…it is simply unfair. PML N have pushed panic button, hence, the re-action…. I had lot of respect for MM, but after her joining PML N, lost that respect…she has gone blind to the extent that if PML N says it is night, she agrees. She has no conscience like many, of course, but having said that, why PML N has to re-act to the draft report by EC dtd Dec 2013. The election was conducted by the caretaker Govt, so push it to them to justify what is in the report, because mismanagement has resulted in complaints & almost all political parties have accepted that rigging was done. So, why are they trying to defend that document & IK`s demand etc; or let all political parties submit petition to SC to take notice of the document & investigate it. We are all getting worked up for nothing. If SC is interested to resolve the issue, which they should & can as per article 190 of the constitution, this issue can be resolved once & for all. But PML N Govt attitude makes one feel that there is some thing which they are so jealously trying to protect. If they are so confident of their mandate, why are they not agreeing to form commission & then trying to impose un-reasonable TORs….come on PML N guys – grow up. If you are the most popular party with majority, you need to be more open hearted.
Marvi Memon once in past was presenting white paper against PPP govt while she was active member of PLM-Q and staunch supporter of Pervez Mush, Now doing the same job while in PML-N and praising sharif bros. Her next move might be presentation of white paper against PML-N while she would be member of PPP and praising AA.
what PTI did in KPK, PTI has destroyed economy/growth of Pakistan by chanting Dharna. In my opinion PTI is finished and should be kicked not only in KPK but from this world. NS should use power/force against illegal dharna (trouble makers). I think He should have used force on day 1, he must be out of his mind, when he would have told that these dhrana won't destroy economy of Pakistan.
I am not for any politician or party nor do i take this white paper seriously but being from KP i must say PTI government has miserably failed and KP is in reverse gear soon to enter 16th century. i request all those freely commenting in support of the KP government to please visit KP ( ONLY PESHAWAR, which is the capital) to see things for themselves and give an honest opinion. In the ruining of this province every previous government has played its role but, not me, the majority of KP had expectations from Tehreek e insaf and they comprehensively proved that change was just a slogan.

ROFL, I've just had a read of the report, and my little nephew could do a better report than that.
How can you compare how much tax is raised in absolute figures when the population of KP is much much smaller than Punjab? (same with a lot of the other figures mentioned). You either use Tax raised per head, or compare how much improvement there has been in percentage terms in tax raised. So many lies, deception and rubbish in the report.
Seriously, if you are gonna try and deceive people, at least make it look professional and make it more believable.

If the Government machinery is being used to do this, then I would rather have no government in Pakistan. While I was there I paid tax fortunately or unfortunately. If that tax is used to pay for this then I would recommend to all Pakistanis to stop paying tax!

My family in KPK says literraly nothing new has been done during the last 14 months of PTIs rule. The government machinery is as corrupt as on day1. No wonder PTI trolls are unable to bear the truth, scared that people will start digging facts and more of their incompetency will come out. Imran Khan has done zilch for KPK. Heck he didnt want it in the first place. Did not even bother to visit the province when rains killed almost 20 to 30 ppl. Also Jehangir Tareen has been awarded all major projects from mining to police hiring. Is this the Naya Pakistan Imran Khan promises off. He can keep it and yeah call his sons to come live in it first. Heck theyll refuse.

I live in Punjab and have many relatives in family members in KPK, I have been to Peshawar about 3 times alone in the past 6 months and the province looks completely different each time I visit. My family finally started getting a 24 hour water supply for the first time in 10 years. Meanwhile here in Punjab things have only gotten worse, the police is more corrupt than ever before and floods have devastated the entire region. PMLN performance cannot even be compared to MQM's performance, let alone PTI.
I went through the paper and I have not seen a more biased report, let alone a report released by a government. For example it compares absolute figures of tax collected in Punjab and KPK despite the vast difference in population and GDP. A much more balanced comparison would have been the % improvement in the last 16 months.

And look who is talking? Mervi Memon the one who was making fun of people when police was tear gasing and firing on people of Pakistan. Regardless of which party they support they are Pakistanis. And yes the recent election in KP where JUI lost home seat to PTI and where Bhutto could not even win, IT WAS WON BY PTI. How is that possible with -4% satisfactory? We have to make best comparison of Sharif Govt in Punjab for last 7 years and with Modi CM ship in Gujarat for last 5 years .. Gujarat did progress at the rate of 10% GDP rate . While Pakistani Punjab has 2.5% in last 7 years .. Why Punajb has such bad performance? Can PML-N resigned for betterment of Pakistan

I used to love Marvi before she became LOTA. She may join PTI if Imran manages to get mid term election and has a chance of winning.
A federal government, who has been elected to serve the people, are instead wasting time and resources on probing the performance of another provincial government only with the intent to politically attack them. They should be working to resolve the issues of the people and instead of probing another government should be analyzing their own performance. A very biased and one sided report of which there was no need of. I am getting the impression that the problems of the people is of no concern to this PMLN govt. They just want to pave the way for another term to govern the poor masses.
Imran Khan has changed the Education Health and Police sector in KPK. Sehat ka insaf. School for girls campaign KPk police reforms and independence have really changed then province. Please note that KPK is with IMRAN KHAN FOR 17 months. In 17 months lots of changes have been made. Where as Punjab is with PMLN since in total in a row 77 months. After 77 months of straight governance if you are comparing your self with a smaller province and 17 months of performanc. Still Gullu butts in police are not to be found in KPK..KPK police is much better. KPK is going up while Punjab is going down.

Its a lie. IK and PTI has done several dharnas including drone dharna during the last year. There has been only 3 Jail Break's. Only half the population of KP are IDP's and staying in camps. They don't need electricity since they have plenty of air as they start in the open as they don't need fans. No electricity is required as they don't have TV's, fridge, Ac's. They save money as food is rationed to IDP's. The educational reforms policy is on hold as JI is objecting. PTI always supported TTP. So PTI has done a amazing job in KP
Its good to see parties releasing white papers inorder to compare their performance vs the peers. I haven't seen the white paper yet (obviously) but i wish PMLN produces a white paper on its performance in punjab since they first came into power and then compare it to anything else.

PML-N govt should be thrown into Arabian sea for giving such stupid logics...
Now thats what im talking about. instead of blaming PTI of non-issues this is what all province should do , this will encourage healthy competition which , in the end, will benefit people of Pakistan. Im sure PTI will have proper answers to all what is said in the paper. (that is if PMLN as usual have not lied in the white paper)
Merely spending money is not a barometer of good governance. In fact, if KP is being conservative with its funds, this is a good thing. Borrowing from IMF and blowing it all away on showcase projects is not "performance". Future generations will have to pay the unending interest on the loans Punjab govt. takes out today in the name of "performance".
