No promotions: Teachers condemn delays in meeting

HYDERABAD: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) condemned the unexplained delays in the departmental promotion committee’s (DPC) meeting that was scheduled for September 22 to process the promotion cases of over 1,000 BPS-17 lecturers.

SPLA president said that the college teachers have been denied promotions for the last 15 years. The DPC meeting, he added, was announced after prolonged teachers’ protests. The SPLA called upon the provincial government to announce a new date of the DPC meeting without delay.
