Rural schools: 72 public school teachers terminated

Elementary education DEO Arifa Jamil said that termination notices had been sent to the 72 teachers.

GUJRANWALA: Seventy-two female teachers have refused to serve in remote areas. The Education Department selected 825 teachers in May and posted them in various government schools. However, 72 ninth and fourteenth scale teachers have refused to serve in schools located in far-flung areas. The department has decided to appoint new teachers to replace them. Elementary education DEO Arifa Jamil said that termination notices had been sent to the 72 teachers.
