
Tufail said that special security measures should be adopted at markets, shopping centres and markets for sacrificial animals.
He directed the officers to also depute police personnel in plainclothes at the markets.
The regional police officer told participants of the meeting that the chief traffic officers of all four districts would be responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of traffic during Eid holidays.
He said that the reserve police should be on duty and remain vigilant to cope with any incident.
He directed the officers to remain in close contact with the district intelligence committee to take necessary steps. The RPO said that a crackdown should be launched against proclaimed offenders and people who have old enmity.
He directed officers to adopt a solid strategy to control robberies in the region and set up police pickets at all entry and exit points of the cities.
