Irshad Khan, an official of the political administration said two passers-by informed Naimatullah, the owner of the house, about a bomb planted beside its boundary wall.
Naimatullah informed khasadar officials who called the BDU to neutralise the device.
The official added that four kilogrammes of explosives were used in the bomb which was powerful enough to destroy the entire house. A case was filed and further investigation is under way.
Crackdown
At least 27 suspects, including six wanted militants, were arrested in a targeted search operation in Jamrud subdivision.
A security official said teams comprising Swat Scouts, khasadars, Frontier Corps (FC) and levies launched an operation in Lashora and Wanu Mela areas and arrested 27 suspects.
Six militants who were wanted in attacks on government installations and multiple other crimes were also among those who were detained. The police official added the suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
