Mirpurkhas murder: Ahmadi doctor killed at his clinic

Doctor sustained three bullets to the chest and died on the spot

MIRPURKHAS:


A doctor belonging to the Ahmadiyya community was shot dead in his clinic in Mirpurkhas district Monday night. The clinic is located in Malhi Colony.


According to SHO Mehran police station Lutuf Ali Laghari, 50-year-old Mubashir Khoso was attacked at his homeopathic clinic by two gunmen riding on a motorcycle. The suspects easily escaped after shooting him.


Laghari said that the doctor sustained three bullets to the chest and died on the spot. The police also collected three bullet casings from the spot.


Khoso has been practising in the town for over 15 years. He was living with his family in the Satellite Town residential area. His body was shifted to Rabwa, near Faisalabad for burial.


The police have not yet lodged an FIR as they are awaiting the family’s return and postmortem report. The SHO said that the family has so far not named any suspect’s involvement during initial investigation.


This is the second murder of an Ahmadi doctor in Mirpurkhas in six years.
