Thanks to our ruling classes most Pakistanis have started questioning democracy as a possible form of governance
KARACHI: This is with reference to Ayesha Siddiqa’s article of titled “No room for democracy” (September 18 ). Thanks to our ruling classes (civil, military, bureaucrats, technocrats, industrialists and other elites), most Pakistanis have started questioning democracy as a possible form of governance. Even after more than six decades of independence, the ruling classes have not been able to make our people understand the true meaning of democracy. It is a shame.
