“As a Sindhi, I condemn any talk of dividing Sindh,” said PTI Sindh president Nadir Akmal Khan Leghari at a press conference at Palwal House, the residence of a senior PTI leader.
The party leader announced that PTI chief Imran Khan will be coming to Karachi on Sunday afternoon to address a sit-in near the Mazar-e-Quaid and would fly back to Islamabad the same night. He said that it had been a long time since Imran had interacted with the people of Karachi, and he was coming to meet them and express his gratitutde for their support.
Leghari asserted that had elections been free and fair in Karachi, PTI would have emerged as the biggest party, with the highest number of seats and votes in the metropolis. “In the next general elections, PTI will be the major party from Sindh,” he declared.
Referring to the recent incident where PIA passengers had forced Pakistan Peoples Party’s Rehman Malik and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Ramesh Kumar off the plane, Leghari said that the PTI had exposed the VIP culture of Pakistani society and called for an end to this culture.
“Target killings have been prevalent in Karachi for years,” he said, moving on to the law and order situation in the city. “The law enforcement agencies know who these killers are, but they are not arrested and roam around freely instead.”
Leghari claimed that unlike the Punjab police, the Sindh police had been actively participating in PTI’s sit-ins in Karachi.

Okay then...5 administrative units in Karachi, OK?
Imran Khan ALWAYS said that there should be more smaller provinces. How can they say that from PTI??
PTI is a Joke! Really!
Those people living in Sindh since years and yet are not satisfied with the space given then they should better leave Sindh spontaneously. Those who haven't learned to respect and own the land on which they live then they do not deserve that land and they must leave their original abode...!
@Zulfiqar: thats two nation theory , our parents and grand parents did in creation of Pakistan , when ever we ask for our rights , we are asked to leave , shabash our elders , before 1947 we had right of equal citizenship all over subcontinent , now with every drop of hat we are asked to leave MASHALLAH
PTI has shown it's stance on Sindh Chapter very clearly. Those people who live in Sindh are not satisfied, they should leave Sindh spontaneously.
Karachi is the capital & heart of Sindh and business hub of Pakistan. Sindh is the land of Sufis who always taught love, brotherhood & prosperity. Moreover, Sindh is the historical home since 5,000 centuries which also brought a resolution on table to make Pakistan. None of the honorable persons is in favor to divide Sindh. MQM is trying to play Mohajir Card to get its strength back by making discriminatory statement to spread hatred among Sindhis & Urdu speaking as they did in past.
What IK should realise is that instead of dividing urban Sindh from its logical representatives, he should make wiser decision of allying with muttahidda rather than making divisions. Both are liberal, have more literate support and middle class representation. What is acceptable in KPK and elsewhere should be acceptable in Sindh too. Probably PTI rural Sindh chapter needs to do some reflection on its balant confessions.
I am a supporter and member of pti not office bearer ..it's seems to be pre mature statement by Nadir Legari ..All other political parties are quite on this issue...when Pti support new provinces in Pakistan for administrative purpose why not in Sind ?when pti support Hazara suba...it should not be ego because of Mqm initiated ? it's better to remain quite on this issue...yes it's seems to be Nadir Legari own opinion being Sindhi ...let the pti brain storm in this issue than decide for the best in our National interest..I may be wrong but let them decide on merit because Ik believe in merit...Regards..Farooq Dadi
Very poor statement by PTI officials, IK must take notice. Also clear your position on administration units. This statement is totally against the resolution of problems of common man and only support recent parliamentarians and politicians against which you are standing at D-Chowk. I as an activist of PTI strongly protest on this stance.
Another stance by PTI against urdu speaking urban sind population and to save the feudal systsm
It's a case of confusion, please calm down people.
It appears that this individual (and perhaps PTI) have misunderstood what PAT (Qadri) was saying in his speech. As you will know Qadri clearly stated there would be administrative units across all Pakistan and that is his stance.
This individual (Leghari) has clearly got his wires crossed, he thinks administrative units are somehow about dividing the region up. I'm sure he has done this press conference of his own back and Imran Khan will soon be correcting him to say that of course administrative units is the way forward for ALL Pakistan as opposed to some permanent division of the region as is the case in Kashmir for example.
for all those who say PTI has no presence.. check who is the runner up in all seats of karachi and then speak.. The second largest party in karachi ( actually largest) . You still want to oppress people of karachi ???
This is totally unjustified. PTI's Policy must be uniform. For betterment of poor people why cant we make more administrative units in Sindh. Its so confusing as always from PTI
PTI, these "electables" will drown you...
One thing I’m unable to understand when they raise voice for making new provinces or administrative units every body appreciate them, PAT whom PTI is supporting has mentioned in their manifesto that they will make new units etc now why PTI is opposing when MQM has asked for new provinces. Isn’t is look like they all are dividing us spreading Provincialism ?
Meaning PTI is okay with more provinces all over Pakistan but not in Sindh. But why?
Who are you? Nadir leghari ? You are not going to decide whether administrative division is required or not. PTI has no presence in Sindh so better focus on political strength

PTI is again being delusional. There are two main political parties in Sindh, PPP and MQM. And Sindh is a liberal, plural Sufi culture, it cannot support the regressive policies of PTI.
What a shameful statement from the ranks of PTi. I expected better from those who called them selves liberal. Indeed PTI has been hijacked by opportunist & and Laghri's case ( an ex-nationalists). What else can we expect from these status quo elites.
An eye opener for all educated Urbans& all those who call themselves liberals
How can someone possibly say NO to creation of more administrative units.
