KARACHI:
Major General Bilal Akbar has taken over as the 12th director-general of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Thursday, replacing Major General Rizwan Akhtar. A change in command ceremony was held at the Rangers’ Sindh head quarters near the toll plaza. Akhtar handed over the flag to Akbar to symbolise the change in command. Akbar was serving the Pakistan Army in Lahore as general commanding officer before he stepped into the Rangers DG post. He also participated in the operation against militants in Swat.
