QUETTA: After an exchange of fire in the Besima area in the Washuk district of Balochistan, armed men took away some 21 official Kalashnikovs, one vehicle and two motorcycles from Balochistan Levies personnel, late Tuesday night. At least four Levies personnel were wounded in the attack. According to an official, the Levies Tehsildar and 21 personnel chased the armed men who opened intense fire with automatic weapons at the Levies personnel. “The exchange of fire lasted for hours. Eventually, the Levies personnel ran out of bullets,” explained an official at the Deputy Commissioner Office. The armed men encircled the Levies personnel, and though they spared their lives, they took away all 21 Kalashnikovs.
