Permanent collection: Fomma Trust to establish art exhibition

The trust has also started work on a catalogue to reproduce all of Naqsh’s paintings.

Press Release September 17, 2014

KARACHI: The Fomma Trust announced plans to set up a permanent collection of donated works by Pakistani artists in the city early next year. The initiative came from Pakistani artist Jamil Naqsh gifting 106 of his calligraphic paintings to the trust for the establishment of such a collection. With the two exhibition areas available to the Fomma Trust already being committed to other projects, the organisation is on the look-out for a suitable space as well as any additional gifts for the collection. The trust has also started work on a catalogue to reproduce all of Naqsh’s paintings.
