“AFCP is a centrepiece of America’s partnership with Pakistan in the realm of art and culture,” said Olson, adding that the US Embassy had undertaken 17 such projects in the country so far. “Our investment in these projects demonstrates our respect for Pakistan’s rich heritage and diversity.” Olson added that they were working with the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan’s Yasmeen Lari and provincial culture minister Sharmila Farooqi to restore the 400-year-old tombs of Sultan Ibrahim and Amir Sultan Muhammad at Makli Hill, at a cost of US$260,000.
