Brutal death: Khasadar slain in Mohmand Agency

GHALLANAI: A 55-year-old khasadar official, Yad Wali, was killed by unidentified men in Darwazgai, Ekka Ghund tehsil in lower Mohmand Agency. An Ekka Ghund political administration official confirmed the murder. He told The Express Tribune Wali was home in Darwazgai, two kilometres south of sub-divisional headquarter Ekka Ghund, when it happened. Unidentified armed men entered his house, dragged him out and slit his throat, a few metres away from his residence, added the official. Wali’s body was taken to a hospital and later handed over to his relatives. The official said the deceased had no enemies. He might have been targeted for being a khasadar, he added. Khasadar and levies officials have been targeted in the past by militants in Ekka Ghund and Safi of lower Mohmand.
