Flood victims: Arid varsity dispatches food items

RAWALPINDI:

Pir Meher Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS-AAU) on Friday dispatched trucks containing food items and drinking water to flood victims of Athara Hazari and Jhang.

PMAS-AAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad said that the flood victims were in dire need of help and their rehabilitation should be “our national responsibility and all of us must join hands to bring smiles back to their faces”.

The VC also said that a team comprising doctors, paramedical staff, veterinary teachers and students has already been dispatched to the flood-hit areas of Sialkot.
