According to the senior superintendent East, Pir Muhammad Shah, five armed robbers barged into a Bank Islami branch on Shaheed-e-Millat Road at 9:15am.
They injured two security guards at the bank with their gun stocks and took the bank staff hostage. The robbers bagged Rs4 million and also took the CCTV footage.
Shah claimed that the bank’s alarm system was not working. Shah added that an FIR will be registered on a complaint from the bank’s manager.
