A man was accused of shooting his wife and her alleged lover dead in Kalam, Swat on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the accused identified as Hazrat Mohammad shot the victims after allegedly finding them together in a valley.
Locals said the woman was the mother of eight children, while her alleged lover, Mohammad Saeed, was unmarried. The father of the deceased man filed a case against the suspect.
Meanwhile, a teenage girl and boy committed suicide in Haripur district on Wednesday. The police quoted Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Ferozpura, as saying his wife scolded their daughter Shazia, 17, over some household chores. Shazia locked herself up in a bedroom and hanged herself from the ceiling fan.
The second case was reported from Noorpur village where Sohail, 13, got angry over his father’s use of harsh language with him and hung himself from a tree in a nearby field.
