i hope this money reaches people of flood not government banks. Baluchistan government must closely follow and make sure this money goes to flood victims.
As in any disaster, a two step approach is needed. Immediate assistance to displaced people and then rehabilitation to help them resettle. After the earthquake, Government of Pakistan formed the National Disaster Management Authority NDMA. I was hoping to see NDMA take a lead role or at least a proactive role in conjunction with Met Office. However, they do not seem prepared to handle even a minor car accident.
Oh, and the generals manning it have done well to set up their palatial bungalows in which they live quite comfortably. Thank you very much.
Hope Zardari is using his Swiss accounts. This money is not his to dispense. It belongs to Sindh. There is a severe drought in Thar. There is a FAMINE there. And the wheat assigned, has already been stolen. 60,000 tons. This Zardari need to feed the people in Thar. Or is it because they are Hindus?
No need to extend anything. Nawaz gives his brother Shahbaz special privileges. First in line at the Treasury trough. Extra money is diverted to Punjab. The home province of the Sharifs. Do not worry about Punjab. It will be fine. Sharifs are there. Worry about your own provinces. And prepare for the rain that may come your way.
