According to a statement issued by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), Arun Selvarajan, a Sri Lankan National, was arrested by the agency for his involvement in the Thameem Ansari case.
The arresting authorities claimed to have recovered two passports from Selvarajan's possession; Indian and Sri Lankan.
He had allegedly gained access to certain vital Indian installations under the guise of managing events, and had then allegedly passed on information regarding these installations using internet communication tools.
Tamil Nadu intelligence on September 17, 2012 claimed to have arrested Ansari, an activist, on charges of spying at the instigation of Pakistan. He was later let go only to be charged for abusing an official of the secret police.

@Naz: When Indians arrest someone, he becomes "Pakistani terrorist" and when we arrest someone, he becomes "a non-state actor" Thank you for the clarification.
@Pakistani:
They are "NON STATE ACTORS"... just like Pakistan responds to all the terrorirst or terror modules busted or terrorist killed or captured in Indian soil......like Ajmal Kasab....
Good luck at antoehr PR Blunder
Whoever India gets hold of on charges of spying/ terrorism, they blame Pakistan and ISI only. Grow up India!!!
@sharabi: When a country issues a passport to a person, that person is considered the citizen of that country and the issuing country becomes responsible for his/her actions.
@Pity If it would be a Somalian then may be he had Pakistani PASSPORT.
@Pity: The spy only had those passports that he considered worthy of holding , so bad luck my friend you lost the plot again. Keep trying and maybe in a hundred years you would be on the sams track.
@Pity: I really feel pity on your mind.
What is it? Arrested on spying charges for Pakistan and than let go? Let stop doing these allegations on each other and work on some real means.
A sri lankan and an indian passport was recovered from him, yet India "thinks" he was "spying" for Pakistan? Neighbors yaar bas kardo bas!
