Workers’ Detention: DCO issued notice on PAT plea
The lawyer requested the court to order their release.
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the district coordination officer on a petition filed by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek against the alleged detention of its 72 workers. Justice James Joseph took up the petition filed by Ishtiaq Chaudhry on behalf of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek. The lawyer argued that the government had been victimising Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers. He said the government had not produced the detained workers in court. The lawyer requested the court to order their release.
