Good gesture should be lauded. Provincial govt in KPK is being run as any democratic govt should run, without any influence of Imran Khan and others. Not like Punjab where CM is doing the job of a DC and of an SHO.
@Blithe: "PKR 100mio is peanuts!!! It’s less than the money thrown at him when he dances on the container "
Very rarely these peanuts come out of their own pockets. Each officer of the state, according to his grade, is allotted a certain amount of money which can be disposed off by him/her when the need arises. No questions asked.
Mashallah. Good to see Khattak Cares so much. Changed man he is from the days when he had to be told off for not caring about people like Aitizaz Hasan (by IK no less). Bet IK did not remind him this time to make a contribution 2 weeks late. He did this with the goodness in his heart
Good deed, my respect to KPK govt has gone high ! Shabash !
The provincial government or in fact the federal government can manage the disaster by making a policy first, and allocating the budget; which has already been kept in the every fiscal year budget for damaged control and management.
Pakistan Army is an institution which can be called upon to extend their services, during the peace time for rescue and relief purposes. This is not the institution to give relief funds or collect amount for disaster management. In fact, the Pak Army unit should also work under the disaster management cell with their resources to restore the normal life as soon as possible.
Moreover, the same amount which is given as relief can be also be spent for prevention, if there is a policy structure present. There is an adage, “A stich in time saves nine”.
@Anjum Arshi: You are mis-informed and spreading mis-information. CM Khattak is performing daily duties as Chief Minister in Peshawar in day time. and in night time he is visiting the Protest camp in Islamabad. This is a public statement made by IK. and people know it. So stop spreading lies.
@Blithe:
It’s less than the money thrown at him when he dances on the container
But more than what the Sharif family contributed to the fund!
Mr. Khattak is full time in Dharna and not doing his duty as CM of KP, where rains killed 20 people 2-3 weeks ago when Khattak was dancing on the container. He is since then sitting in the Dharna in Islamabad. Nawaz Sharif is too weak to fight with the mighty forces behind PTI and Qadri, otherwise there should have been punitive action against CM and his cabinet in KP.
It seems that the 'powers that be' are determined to destroy civilian rule completely. In the process, however, the country and the state will also be destroyed. Great game?
PKR 100mio is peanuts!!!
It's less than the money thrown at him when he dances on the container
This Bajwa is a little too hyperactive on Twitter . The army is part of the government and most information should be disseminated thought ministry of information.
has everyone in KPk got so much that you are donating hundred million to Punjab. Shameful act of using donation for political benefits.
It is good to handover this amount to ARMY because the Nawaz govt is unable to destribute this amount to flood affectees but only for their own wishes
@Wali:
And the Little Sharif meets the COAS repeatedly to ask him to give him a hair cut, right?
@Wali: Kindly Don't mislead the people. Civil Disobediance is not declared by provincial government which is based on alliance of PTI-JI. Here Mr. Khattak is representing provincial govt not PTI
Civil disobedience... Military Obedience!
