LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday visited the Martyrs’ Monument at Batapur on Defence Day. He placed a floral wreath on the monument and offered fateha. Sharif said the national army had authored a new chapter in the history of military warfare with its heroic defence of the country during the 1965 Pakistan-India war. He said there was a need to revive the uniting spirit of 1965. He said the public should pledge to unite and defend the territorial integrity of Pakistan.
