Dangerous Billboards: DC Central seeks removal of hoardings
DC Central seeks removal of hoardings
KARACHI:
Dr Saifur Rehman, the deputy commissioner of Karachi Central, has ordered the immediate removal of all hoardings from pedestrian bridges in the district, after receiving complaints that they left pedestrians, especially women, vulnerable to criminal activities. Chairing a meeting at his office on Saturday, he said that the bridges were meant to help people rather than be a cause of trouble to them, adding that incidents of harassment and looting had been reported with criminals hiding behind the billboards.
