KARACHI:

Pakistan’s centrally-contracted players will undergo fitness tests from Saturday at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, which will be important in determining their new contracts.

The PCB selection committee has laid special emphasis on the players’ fitness and those who will fail to reach up to the mark will face financial penalties.

“All the centrally-contracted players will undergo fitness tests at the NCA as the Gaddafi Stadium is non-operational due to flooding,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune.

“The results of these tests will be crucial for them because it will affect their new central contracts.”
