In the twenties

KARACHI: This is with reference to the Speaker’s corner piece by Hamna Zubair ‘Confronting the big two-five’. I was, in a way, very unhappy to see her article because reading it was the best reminder I have had in a while that I am no longer so sprightly as my inner eye imagines (hopes, rather). I had a similar moment to the one she describes. Recently I was having a conversation with a friend in which I was genuinely interested in talking about filing my tax returns. See how far I have fallen? My grumbling about how old I feel aside, I would like to thank Ms Zubair for the reminder about the finish line, and how it really isn’t all that important.
