Army chief asks officers to prepare for 'growingly complex threat environment'

General Raheel Sharif addresses 125th PMA long course convocation ceremony

ISLAMABAD: Army chief General Raheel Sharif advised on Thursday the graduating class of 125th PMA Long Course to prepare themselves to “ensure the defence of the motherland in the face of a growingly complex threat environment.”

Addressing the convocation ceremony at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), the army chief said: “ While leading your men into combat, as young officers you must also inspire them by your knowledge, character, courage and competence,” according to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

General Sharif awarded degrees to the graduating officers.

Upon arrival, the army chief was received by Lieutenant General Ikram Ul Haq, IGT&E and Lieutenant GeneralMuhammad Asghar Rector NUST.
