4 cops injured in Karachi check post attack

Unidentified men hurl hand grenade at check post located on Shahrah-e-Quaideen

KARACHI: Four policemen were injured in a hand grenade attack on police check post in Karachi, Express News reported.

Unidentified men hurled the grenade at the check post located on Shahrah-e-Quaideen from a flyover.

The blast was so intense that it was heard far and wide, and damaged the check post. A motorcycle parked nearby was also destroyed in the explosion.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has asked IG Sindh to submit a report on the explosion and also asked law enforcement agencies to ensure security in the city.

After quite a while, a noticeable incident has taken place. Before things start worsening again, the government should focus on developing security in cities, and maintain the non-terrorist atmosphere that almost seemed to be restored.
