Nabbed Revenue: Dept clerk caught ‘taking bribes’
Anti Corruption Department arrested Chishti from his office while he was taking the money from Hussain.
HAFIZABAD:
The naib-reader of the Hafizabad tehsildar was arrested by the Anti Corruption Department on Tuesday for taking bribes. Muhammad Sarwar Chishti had issued a show-cause notice to Fida Hussain on behalf of a price-control magistrate.
He demanded Rs5,000 from Hussain for not taking any action against him. Anti Corruption Department Gujranwala circle-officer Rana Muhammad Naeem arrested Chishti from his office while he was taking the money from Hussain.
