K-Electricannounced it will fix the street lights on all major roads of district Central within the next two weeks

KARACHI: The K-Electric has announced that it will fix the street lights on all major roads of district Central within the next two weeks and will give prior information to the district administration before disconnecting any consumer or PMT to avoid a law and order situation. This was decided in a meeting held at the office of the deputy commissioner of district Central. Speaking on the occasion, DC Dr Saifur Rehman said that, when the K-Electric disconnects a power supply, people protest on main roads causing traffic jams which lead to a rise in the number of street crimes. "The K-Electric should illuminate all street lights on major roads and inform the district administration before disconnecting the power source of any consumer or the PMT to avoid trouble," said Dr Saifur Rehman.
