ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that his party will register murder cases against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for ‘killing and injuring’ protesters, who wanted to stage a peaceful protest outside the Prime Minister House.

“The dictatorship of Nawaz Sharif and his party has been exposed by the brutalities they committed through the Punjab police on the Constitution Avenue,” he said, adding that they would not return without getting the resignations of both Premier Nawaz and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

“The illegal government of Nawaz Sharif is taking illegal and unconstitutional steps by using force against peaceful protesters exercising their fundamental right in Islamabad and Lahore,” he said, adding that they would settle  score with the Sharifs over these brutalities.

“I will either free the country from these looters or embrace death,” he said.

Imran said the government violated international law by committing violence against peaceful protesters. “Under which law did you use such force against unarmed protesters?” he asked.

He defended the breaking of the grills and gates of the Parliament House and entering its lawns. “They went there to take shelter after heavy tear gas shelling from the police,” he claimed.

He appealed to people from all over the country to start protests and come to Islamabad for making a history. “I urge the entire nation to come on streets and rebel against the government. I also ask workers to overcome hurdles and reach D-Chowk to strengthen the protest,” he added.

Hashmi expulsed from PTI

Imran later announced the expulsion of PTI president Javed Hashmi, who accused the party chairman of overruling the core committee and moving along with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) after getting a message from somewhere.

“Javed Hashmi! From today, we part our ways,” he roared, as he rejected the allegation that he had announced to move towards the Prime Minister House after getting a ‘message from somewhere’. “I never receive any message other than that of the Pakistani nation,” he said.

The PTI chief also announced to expel three of his party MNAs who had not submitted their resignations on his direction.
