Shocking crime: Two brothers gunned down by gang

The protesters dispersed on the assurances given by MPA Qazi Muhammad Saeed that action would be taken against them.

BAHAWALPUR: Family and relatives of two brothers, who were shot dead by a gang of criminals, staged a protest demonstration in Khan Bela on Saturday. Family members claimed that Sajjad and Ayaz were shot dead by the Baali gang on Friday. Ghulam Muhammad, the father of the deceased, said that the two brothers were on their way to the grain market. “When they reached Jaleelabad near Lakhani village, 10 criminals, led by Akbar Baali, shot and killed them,” he said. He said that Baali had murdered his sons because he believed they were helping his enemies. The Shidan police SHO reached Khan Bela and negotiated with the protesters. The protesters dispersed on the assurances given by MPA Qazi Muhammad Saeed and police that action would be taken against them.
