Over ‘Honour’: Couple killed for having illicit affair
An FIR was registered at Matta police station and an investigation is under way.

A man and a woman were killed on Saturday for allegedly having an illegitimate affair in Asharey village of Matta tehsil, Swat. Sakhi Jan and a married woman reportedly ran away to Madian. Upon their return, both died after being poisoned. Sakhi’s brother Khan Jan accused Mira Jan, husband of the deceased woman, of poisoning them. An FIR was registered at Matta police station and an investigation is under way.
