They issued tickets to 117 shopkeepers imposing fines of Rs138,550 for violating the price act. Price control magistrates raided 829 shops in several areas. They inspected prices of commodities during the visits. They arrested 17 shopkeepers for not following price lists. FIRs were also registered against them.
DCO Capt (r) Muhammad Usman told price control officials to continue the crackdown against hoarders.
